I believe there are quite a few P1cc owners here on FOG.
So here is the question. I assumed Mafell jigsaw blades are twice the thickness of standard blades (which adds rigidity) and tapered towards the back. Looking closer it seems that only one type, CUnex W1, has this special design. The rest are the same as regular ones, such as Bosch etc. Is this correct?

They are same as Bosch blades or Festool blades for everything but the Cunex blade. I think Bosch makes most jigsaw blades and other manufacturers brand them.

Yes, I regularly use my Festool blades in the Mafell, with I’ll add, great results.

I’m not a big fan of the Cunex blade because of the kerf width, but when you need it, it’s a life saver.

I’ll be cutting some aluminum profiles tomorrow with the P1cc, always a joy to use. And I’ll probably be using Festool blades to boot.

Id love to know what factory and where make Mafells CUnex blade. If they could be persuaded to make a longer version we can then do accurate mitre cuts in thick dense hardwood.

They’re all made by Bosch including the W1 as a Mafell exclusive. FYI Bosch make an epic 250mm (10”) long extra-thick blade which I use fairly regularly. The blade number’s T1044DP. It’s not laminated, but it is thick enough to cut accurately without flexing. If you don’t need that capacity, there’s also a 152mm/6” version. It’s the T344D.
