This was one of my first projects a couple years ago. I had seen a picture of a famous highboy (I believe the Dunlaps made it) and thought it would be a great piece to learn to hand cut dovetails and learn to carve with. The lowboy has two smallish fans on the bottom and ball and claw feet. The feet were far from perfect (in my opinion) but not too bad for my first attempt. The bookcase has some wrap around fans and a middle fan carved into the top. All the dovetails were hand cut and all the hardware is Horton Brass. I finished it with about 7 coats of sprayed on shellac.

(there is no back in the picture so it is easier to see the shelves.)
