Sorry to hear that. I had a lumbar discectomy at L5-S1 when I was in my early twenties; caused by too much sitting (constant spine compression) apparently. Go figure.

Just an update on the sheet cart,
After some consideration I decided to make the unit suggested by Sparktritian and I do appreciate his and everyone elses suggestions but I am afraid it just does'nt work, there is no sideways support when it is in the horizontal position and the whole thing wobbles about even with only half a sheet of 3/4" ply,I dare not try with the weight of a full sheet.So if anyone looks at this topic and thinks the design is good,it may look good in the animation but in practice it is about as practical as a chocolate fire guard but thanks again for the suggestions.

Now I am going to make a cart in 'Fine Woodworking' magazine
