Metric tape measure

I have that same Hultafors / Fiscars "BT5M" Roachmill, been using it for some years, great tape for metric work.

I just took delivery of a Hultafors / Fiscars "BT5M" metric tape and I think this may be The Tape for me. At least for trim type work:

Looks like a nice product. Unfortunately, there's not much action on that brand here in North America based on a quick peek via Google.

SOLA also sells them:https://www.sola.at/en/products/big-t-me-p202245

so does FISCO:http://www.fisco.co.uk/bigt.html
orhttps://www.needthattool.com/bigtmeasuringtapes.aspx
orhttps://www.onepointsurvey.com/products/fisco-big-t-tape-measure

and at some point in the past JOHNSON LEVEL sold them as well:https://toolguyd.com/big-johnson-power-tape-measure/

just google big T tape measure.

I have the 5m SOLA version.

Thanks. The "big T tape measure" does bring up results, but they tend to have $24 for the tool and $24 for shipping offers. :) I'll stick with my Veritas for now. LOL I don't use the tape much in the shop other than for things longer than about 1000mm. I have steel rules for that and shorter.

Festool/BMI make a small tape measure which is very nice for furniture makers.

My other go-to tape measure is this Starrett ...

Which fastcap tape do you use, they have about a dozen different tag names ?

Sorry just saw this
I use a couple of them,
First what do I like about them is they accurate have tic marks at 32mm which helps me use the LR32 system. Plus the built in pencil sharpener comes in very handy, more than you think it will.

True 32 is one of them

I’d like to find one of those flat stiff rules in the top of the pic. What does BMI call it?
They call it a “BMImeter”https://www.thetapestore.co.uk/tape...bmi-bmimeter-2-in-1-tape-measure-ruler-2m-6ft

thetapestore has a few variations of it, if you browse by brand. It looks like it would be very handy.

FWIW, I have one of those Starett electronic tapes, the electronics died years ago on mine, but it was great while it worked.
It’s now one of my semi-retired backups.
