Thinking about taking the plunge into getting a MFT/3 and Kapex saw setup.  How good are the Kapex wings as MFT/3 extension supports for cutting down cabinet panels?

They do attach to the 'V' groove at the correct height on the MFT/3. I think they will work well as long as you are doing quite a few cuts at the same or similar size. If not the spacing between the extensions will need to be adjusted (which is pretty easy) in order to keep panels on the flat support area and not on top of the fence portion.

Are you also getting the Kapex MFT or going with the Kapex cart?

Also the MFT/3 can be used as a support for the Kapex when it is on the Kapex MFT or the cart.

It may not look like it due to picture angle but the MFT/3 is at the height of the Kapex "deck" .

Is there a pic of this?  Trying to visual this since I don’t have a MFT/3 yet to look at

Not sure about Kapex MFT or Cart yet.  Was considering the cart so I can store it away when not in use since I have a small area in my basement to work with.  Trying to see if I can clear a space for dedicated miter saw setup

This is an old post, however I have the kapex trimming attachments set up on my MFT/3. I have several YouTube videos showing this on my channel. It's a great set up for achieving a large cross cut capacity and I can't imagine my shop without them now.

In my workshop there is not enough space to leave the right hand extension on the Kapex, and I don't usually need support for stock that long.  So the right extension is usually on the MFT where it provides support for panels - not ideal but adequate for occasional use.  I don't use the stops or graduations on the extension on the MFT.
