I used Paul Marcel's, aka half inch shy, solution shown in his video on the subject here. It clamps the fence to the very back of the table.

Hi, all here is a new product we have just made.

[member=49728]Ralph Mignano[/member] just ordered some thanks! Looking forward to trying them!

Matt

They're great but only hold the MFT fence in its laid-flat orientation. They also work wonderfully as MFS "clamps" when you swap in some 30mm M4 knobs (see here).

This looks like just the product I've been looking for.  How much is the shipping to the US?

[member=66216]GoingMyWay[/member] looks like I paid 17 (pounds not dollars). I’m in CA

Well that didn't take long - I just placed my order for the Fence Bench Dogs with Fence and the Festool Guide Rail Dogs.  Shipping cost was still 17GBP.

Didn't TSO say they were coming out with something similar to this?

[member=18283]RobBob[/member]  - we keep adding to our collection of Workholding solutions and are a bit behind in posting pictures of some of these applications. We do not currently have any plans to offer a Dog to secure the MFT fence to dog holes. But we are always listening.
Let’s see if we can get some pictures up on this FOG thread this holiday week to shed some light on solutions we do have available now.

FYI to all I received mine and like them a lot. I feel a lot more confident that the fence isn't moving when I knock it. Would buy again. Shipping was good to and I got mine in the US (shipped from UK).

When I started this thread the thought of designing and 3D printing my own hadn't yet occurred to me, but here we are.  I have published the files to Thingiverse here so anyone with a 3D printer can make a set, though I've licensed the design for noncommercial use - that means if you want to sell them you need to talk to me first.  I'm open for Parf, Qwas, Woodpeckers to make me an offer I can't refuse  [big grin].  The dogs fit quite snugly so there's no slop and they don't move around at all when tightened.  I printed them with an unusually high infill (85%) so they're effectively solid plastic.  You could probably break them, but you're going to have to work at it.  The only additional hardware that's needed is a pair of M6x25 hex bolts and nuts for each clamp and you'll want a pair of clamps.  A drop of epoxy to fasten the head of the vertical bolt in the top section and the nut in the bottom section would make them less fiddly to install.  For now this design is done, I'm happy with it.

[member=14226]sprior[/member] sold me a pair and they are awesome. Very rigid solution, and great for setting a tape on your fence. Gives you tablesaw-like precision and repeatability if you set it up correctly. I use it with a pair of dogs and clips from TSO and it is foolproof. I barely use my tablesaw any more, and get great square cuts.

Yeah they've been working well for me as well.  I think we did come up with ideas for some possible improvements, but none sufficiently motivating to redo them yet.

He ordered them from:https://benchdogs.co.uk/ (I also ordered a set).

Thanks for your help, if I just scrolled back a page I guess I would have found the link! Oh, well. Thanks none the less.

Now that a few members have ordered these, and are using them, could you give me your initial impressions?? I would like to order a pair, but it would be nice to hear a bit of feedback from current users!

Thanks

They’re wonderful. The only thing I might change is to make the knobs slightly smaller diameter wise. Once locked down to the MFT you can’t turn them because they hit the table. Makes micro adjusting slightly difficult (to align the tape measure). But small gripe. They rock.
