Many Thanks folks. Now I can use that spare eight foot run of wall in my shop, Probably stick my mitre saw at one end to free up the opposite wall! Bit eye-watering on price mind! [blink]
[member=14894]Hookie[/member] if you don't need the portability, you might consider making your own MFT style table or bench. lots of threads here about folks solutions. You can buy the Parf system for making the grid of holes. https://www.axminster.co.uk/ujk-technology-parf-guide-system-mkii-104779
I missed the blindingly obvious, as I knew about the Parfitt system for making new MFT tops. :-[
Initially I thought of putting two MFTs together on a shop made bench, to get a longer run. What I also wanted was a slightly lower MFT for a more stable platform. It wouldn't have made the DIY MFT any narrower, which in my long narrow shop would have been another plus. Not much difference, but enough to make walking between stations easier. At the price of the Parfitt system, a new bench 24" wide is the way to go. The MFT can go in a box, in the utility room, and kept for the initial breaking of 8 x 2 sheets, outside in the back yard where there is definitely more space and a canopy.
So yes, that's the reorganisation started. Thanks folks. I am obliged for the suggestions.
Now I am off to make a loaf of bread big enough to last until Tuesday!
