MFT type cart and miter saw layout - advice/suggestions

Hello,

I currently have an MFT type sysport rolling table made from 80/20 and the PARF dog guide.  I also have a rolling tool chest next to it with a miter saw sitting on it.

I’m trying to decide if I should keep the tool cart and build a sysport cabinet to hold the miter saw.  I was thinking of making the sysport cabinet w/miter saw to go between the tool cart and the MFT.  The height for miter saw would be level with the MFT cart and then build up the tool cart top to also be level with the miter saw.

The other thought was to sell the tool cart and get an actual MFT/3 for additional table space. 

The miter saw is not used often and with the dogs to square material and a track saw I don’t know that I need the MFT/3.

Items to consider if you haven't already asked yourself:

How much do you like and use the Husky box?

How wide do you want to make the Mitre Saw Sys-Port if you were to make one? (the saw is wider than the drawers, but narrower than 2 drawers)

How often do you need more assembly/work table area?

Do you need length extension or just more overall space? (MFT3 vs MW1000 extension table, but not sure if it would hook on the 8020)

I feel like the biggest goal would be getting the mitre saw top to the same plane as at least one of the other work surfaces unless you already have an infeed extension of some sort.  The rest is just details.

The Husky box is not full, but decent storage. 

The sysport/mitersaw would probably be wide enough for Systainer and some narrow drawers.  The Dewalt is 24” wide.

As to your last statement, yes I would like to get the miter saw on the same level as at least the mft cart if not both.(if I keep the Husky)
