I know this HAS to be asked before but darned if I can find it:

Is it possible to buy the MFT3 table  without the legs?  My shop is permanent, and I would put it on top of a base of my own design.  Does Festool offer that option?    I cannot seem to find it on the Festool USA website nor on any of the internet sellers I have perused.  Got answer ?

Thanks

Short and sweet, NOPE.  The MFT has rubber bumpers that protect your floor is you want to use it collapsed.  If you are really looking to just use and integrate a "holy" top in your workbench then there are lots of options that our members will be happy to inform you about.  (Not trying to be rude.  Just have to go do something else right now)

Nope. And just in case you were thinking about it, trying to buy all the parts BUT the legs to build out an MFT/3 without them will cost just as much or more than the MFT/3. Honestly IMO the best option is to keep you eyes on CraigsList as full MFT/3's in excellent condition pop up around $450 pretty regularly. That is, in my area anyway. You find one of those and you wont feel so bad about purchasing and removing and storing / not using the legs.

You could always buy just the top or make one as a alternative
This, or make the top yourself.

The MFT folded down (or with legs removed) has the downside of not enough room to clamp from below (which I needed quite some times).

Blocks under the corners will add height to be able to use the clamps. There are lost of examples of this solution te be found.
