Hi All,
I'm wanting to know if anyone has these MGS/SCG Guide, Tenon Joiner Guide Stops for their FT DominoXL DF 700 EQ? If you do and have used them frequently, are you happy with them or not? Would you recommend this tool or something else?
Thank you,

The MGS I bought when I purchased my Domino years ago, and have yet to use.  But depending on what you do, you may find others that will attest differently.  I've just have never needed anything other than the use of my crossstops or the tabs to get my mortises where I want them.  I'll still keep it, as I can see where it can be useful, but I just haven't had that moment for it as of yet.

The SCG on the other hand, I just bought a few months ago, and have used it more than a few times, and is a truly useful addition to the Domino.  Centering the mortise on and end piece of stock with ease is a big time saver.  I can see this being applicable to use on the Domino XL when I buy one as well.

I have the Self Centering Guide (SCG) and really like it.

I use it not only for centering domino plunges on pieces but also for consistent indexing from the edges.  Very fast and accurate.

I have a Domino 500 with the pins and this is a great accessory for indexing.  I'd recommend it highly.

I could not find any responses to this post. I am interested in either the SCG or MGS guides for the Domino. I'd be interested to hear what others use them for. It appears the the SCG is meantspecifically for centering a Domino tenon in narrower stock for face frames or other projects that would only require a single tenon. MGS would seem to be most useful where more than one Domino is being placed repetitively in the same location on somewhat wider stock. However, it also seems as if it would work for single tenons in face frames but would not automatically center the tenon in this case.

Does anyone have the MGS? SCG? What do you use it for?
