Midcentury Renovation - in deep over my head

You have a real talent and flair for cabinetry. Suggestion: check the calibration on your Domino 500. There's no need to float them so much. Enjoy your accomplishment!

Just curious. What do you mean by "float them so much"?

The mortise hole doesn't need to be so wide.
...as in the pic on page one.

Thanks!  I went back looking for that pic and saw that I even used the term "floating"!!  Too funny.

I use my pins for reference a lot with my 700 and rarely use the extra width mortise. I have been pretty successful with that approach.

how would you fasten the side panel's?

If the question is for me, screws from the inside, or dominos if you don't want to see the screws.

I really like the dominoes through the drawer sides looks real sharp. I will be issuing that one myself.

+1 for Tim's suggestion.  That method is exactly what I use when I need a finished panel on the ends.

The realtor referred to my house as “mid century modern” which meant that it was a ranch house with no crown molding anywhere. [big grin]

Nice looking interior.  What’s the exterior look like?
