Mounting Kapex on Dewalt stand brackets?

Just got a Kapex and would like to mount it to my Dewalt DWX724 compact miter saw stand. I bought another set of brackets (DW7231), as I still have a 12" Dewalt miter saw mounted to the original brackets.

I searched and found that many people here have mounted the Kapex to the Dewalt brackets, but I can't figure out how. I need to buy some smaller bolts than what came with the brackets, but that's no problem. I was going to use the inner holes on the Kapex, but the Kapex's rubber feet seem to be in the way. Found some reports of removing the rubber feet and other reports of leaving them on.

Finally - the Dewalt brackets seem too short...I didn't have small enough bolts to try yet, but just holding it up it looks like with the front bolt in, the back one will not go into the slot. The brackets also seem too short for the saw to actually rest on, so I'm afraid that when tightening it down, the bracket will be pulled up into the saw or won't be level.

Anyone with this setup have any close-up pictures of the mounting? I don't want to mount a plywood/MDF base to the brackets and mount the saw to that...not a big fan of that approach. Thanks!

Got it with help from Grasshopper. Used M6 x 30mm bolts in the Kapex's inside holes and just tightened down squeezing the rubber feet out of the way. Worked fine -- just barely fits on the Dewalt brackets but feels stable on the stand.
