I realize that this thread is several months old, but what kind of foam was used when this insert was created?  I am looking at making a few custom inserts myself.  I have Kaizen foam from Fastcap, but I wonder if this is a better alternative.

its called Tool Foam, and is pretty dense like yoga mat material. Kaisen foam from Fastcap would be great, but we cant get it over here, and Freight from the states + the exchange rate of the Australia Peso now, makes it a really expensive exercise.
