My Festool woodshop/garage project

Michael,

I like the way your shop is coming along. Looks good.

I'm a little different in my view on the car in the garage. I surely know my wife is. She does not like to get up at 5:30 in the morning before work and clear 1/2" of ice or 8" of snow off of her vehicle. So i chose to let my mediocre shop and cars share some space.

I am fully in agreement with the MFT needing to be stronger and larger to be used more than a cutting station.

I reeeeeally love the larger space that I created when I built my Jumbo MFT. I didn't realize I would use it so much. I hardly cut on it as much as it gives me a very stable Assembly, Clamping, and Workbench that is also very stable and mobile.

I just built a 60" round Poker Table with padded rails, Poker Speedcloth, and a finished racetrack on this MFT. I would have trashed the rail if it were not for the large space created by the Jumbo MFT.  The floor always has miscellaneous sharp things you can't see and a workbench is shallow and not nearly as versatile.

I did clamp a few of my MFT's together before, but not really the same animal.

Look at it in the JIgs and tool enhancements section. It was labeled JUMBO MFT of my own.

I think your MFT Space will become your favorite spot in the shop for many projects.

Chris
