My Shop Transformation

Really nice layout! I have a small shop space myself and am amazed out how effectively your setup allows you to use and reconfigure the space, which leads me to a ton of questions... *grin*

- What are the dimmensions of the shop space?
- Do you have a plan map, layout, or some other dimmensioned above view of the space?
- Did you purchase the slat wall and bracket assemblies (if so where?) or make them?

Thanks for posting, and for taking so much time with the descriptions and photos.

Regards,
  Hunter

love it! everything has its place and no wasted space. basically all you need in a  that small confine area.

Mr. Runhard,

when I watch your photos, I do not know if you're building workshop or Louis Vuitton boutique.
[big grin] [big grin] [big grin]

In any case, it is a great beauty, and I congratulate you on the results.
[thumbs up]

Take care of yourself.

Very nice layout!

However, far to dark for my liking! would need one heck of a lot of lighting in there!  [eek]

I totally agree with you, it is too dark. I plan on adding new lights and I have 2 options. The 1st is to add 5 double fixtures of 48" fluorescent T8's. The 2nd option would be adding 10 - 15 can lights. I will probably be adding the 48" T8's

This space is 25' x 11' and there is another room on the other side of the same dimensions that holds the furnace, water heater, water softner, washer, dryer... I use the other side for more storage and I also placed my main DC in there.

I do not have a layout, I just placed things in a way that made sense to me.

I was able to get the material from the building that I manage. It came from a room that was a varsity shop and we are renovating it into a large conference room.

There was a whole thread here about 4 foot LED shop lights from Costco that some FOG members have used.  They were out of stock for a while, but they are back now at my Costco near Cleveland, Ohio.  They are nice lights.
