New Ct Midi Tapered Hose?

I just picked up a new ct midi during the sale and was using it today and noticed it came with a tapered hose.  I have a older ct midi and a ct36 and they have the normal 27mm hose.  The hose that came on the new ct midi is a 32 mm to 27mm taper,  is this a new thing for the vacs?  I didn't remember reading anything about it.

Tyler, that happened the same time that the MINI/MIDI were updated with T-LOC knobs on the Sys-Dock. I'd say about 2 years ago.

I think this was one of those rolling changes that was easy to miss except for the nerdiest of Festooligans.  [big grin]

But, yes, a simple way to improve suction. Similar principle to the cyclones.
