I purchased the new CT MIDI about a month ago or so. Question is do I buy the 2 part blutooth set or just the part that goes over the end of the hose to turn Vac on/off.

I can confirm just the button is what you need.

+1 for just the button. Works great!

Yes just the button.

Question: for those with a mini/MIDI and the button. .

Does pairing the button un-pair any previously connected batteries? It can you have both a battery and the button connected at once?

I could be wrong, but I feel like you can only have one paired battery at a time? Haven’t double checked, but from general use I feel like that’s the case?

No, you can have batteries paired and still use the remote,  no problem.

Connecting the button after a tool doesn't disconnect the tool. But only one tool at a time seems to be the rule. That, or one tool and the button. I haven't tried two tools without the button.

Im sure one of the official Festool videos I watched this week (My Midi and button remote are currently in transit) stated you can only have one battery pairing currently 'live' but up to 5 of the buttons can be linked - which seems weird, though you can also remotely trigger a new battery pairing from the button remote (so that up a scaffold you can swap a battery pack out without having to go back down to the Midi to re-trigger a pairing for the new one)..

Did I imagine that?
