Hi All - I just started my Festool journey thanks to the $100 back tool trade-in... little did I know that was just a taste of the crack... a TS55, MFT/3 and a Domino later here I am.

My 3 week old Domino just started cutting undersized holes.  I was cutting along on a cabinet build and everything was good, then all of a sudden, the holes were a little undersized.  I can't fit the dominos into the holes anymore.  I took the cutter off and reseated it, made sure that all the setting were correct and still nothing. I have used a total of less than 100 dominoes!

Anyone have a tip/trick that a newbie might be missing?  I was using it with the Domiplate if that matters at all.

Thanks in advance!  Mike

Welcome.
Check the bit. I am guessing that the end broke off of it.
You would not be the first it has happened to.

My guess is that JD is correct. If the tip is still attached to the 5mm cutter, try another sized cutter.

I had the same problem the last time I used my 8mm cutter  Being in a hurry it took sanding two dominoes down to fit to realize that something was wrong.  I looked at the cutter and it looked fine.  That stumped be until I realized that I hadn't used it for a month or more.  That last time I had nicked a 23 ga pin in the material I was using.  I had examined the cutter then and it looked fine, I reexamined the cutter with my magnifying goggles and saw tiny chips were off the outer edges...time to change cutters.  Also bought extra CMT replacement bits.
