Just my luck I bought a TSC 55 Set as a pre-tax season motivation gift to myself for $860, haven't even turned in on and they go and "beat the price increase" by April 1st as i had intended by selling the same saw with an impact for $15 more?

Is the TSC 55 576816 any difference than the 575690 that i purchased?

I think the only difference is that you got two chargers with the 575690.... and the 576816 appears to comes with one.... not 100% sure though.

Can anyone confirm whether or not the drills in the impact kits come with a centrotec chuck and bit holder? Also ran, the carvex and bhc bare tools are coming down in price a tiny bit in case nobody caught that yet.

The TID 18 will be compatible with standard 1/4" hex bits like impact drivers from other brands. No special chuck or bit holder required.

1.  ToolNut website description for the 576490 Combo has the kit coming with two new 4.0 Airstream Compact batteries.  While the picture shows one 4.0 and one 5.2 battery.  Which is correct?

2.  Does the PDC in the 576490 combo kit come with a Centrotec chuck and bit holder or just the Jacobs chuck and right angle adapter?  I understand that the impact is 1/4" hex, but I am asking about the PDC application only.

3. What happened to kits with Airstream batteries coming with the SCA 8 Fan-cooled charger?  It appears the TCL 6 is now what you receive.

1) Good catch on the photo. The kit comes with two of the 4.0Ah HighPower batteries. Photo has been corrected from the original incorrect photo we were provided. Only saws will come with 5.2Ah moving forward.

2) A Centrotec chuck and bit holder are not provided (see comment below about pricing).

3) Obviously, we have no control over the scope of delivery for provided and Festool doesn't share the reasons for such changes, but I think it's safe to assume this was done to be able to lower the prices. Only the TSC 55 will come with the SCA 8 chargers included.

Ahh, thats good news, I've kind of avoided Festool drills upto now and part of the reason was the spazzy centrotec thing. Supposedly a better system but nobody local sells it.
The lack of an 18 volt rattle gun has been a massive gaping hole in Festools lineup as impact screwdrivers and drills are often the first tool someone buys.
During the Reagon era it would have been called a "Gateway Drug" and with the prices of the drills and lack of rattle guns Festool weren't getting people started on the Festool ladder.
