Saw one of the dealers mention they'd be doing some special deals on the "existing" Midi so had assumed it would be replaced with a newer model. Perhaps it's just being replaced by a "different" model instead?

Yes it works with the FS Guide Rails, all the new tools have come over from the Protool Range.
