New hose discovery

Apologies if this has been mentioned before, because these hoses have been around a while now but I haven't see it mentioned...
I just brought home a new CT Mini I and I noticed something different about the CT-side connector on the 27/32mm hose compared to my older style hoses...

The tool end of my 36mm is on the left and the CT-end of my 27mm is on the right

A quick push results in:

My two 3.5m hoses are now a 7m hose. And since the CT Mini I uses a standard straight hose now, when I need a longer hose I can just pull the 27mm, insert a 36mm hose, then connect the 27mm to the 36mm. 8)

[member=20971]elfick[/member] , thanks for posting the pictures. I was not aware of this nor had I seen it. I have the original 27mm CT hose but am wondering if I can get a new 27/32 CT end to fit my existing 27mm hose so I can join it to my 36mm hose for more length. Do you know the compatibility of these 27mm CT end fittings?

You may want to just bite the bullet and buy the new hose, it’s that much better, least wise IMHO. I still have my original 27mm hose, but rarely use it, the new one is much easier to work with.
I think the hose itself is tapered, so just changing the fitting may not be feasible.

Holy cow.  I guess I need to go home and check my hoses. I just recently bought some adapters to connect my hoses and noticed 1 fitting had been discontinued to do exactly this.  But this must be why they discontinued it.  I ended up buying an old adapter that is a pain to get hooked up on the new style hose.

If I have the same connection I'll be pretty annoyed and somewhat happy at the same time.  Annoyed that I spent so much time and $ trying to get the correct adapters but happy I don't have to change hose ends to do this.
