New member former lurker

Just thought I would pop in here and introduce myself.  I have been lurking this forum off and on since December or so.  I'm relatively new to wood working as a hobby although I have done a few small pieces here and there for my wife and daughter.  I farmed with my father the last 22 years as a side venture and we exited that operation about a year ago and I have since been looking for something to do on the weekends. 

Dust and health concerns are what have primarily drawn me to Festool as I begin to setup a decent workshop.  My first purchase of a RO 150 from the festool reconditioned site is on its way, now I just have to get a vac and a few other tools to get rolling.

I lack hands on experience but...there is only one way to get it.

Welcome Carpetride!  I too am a new member here and rapidly trying to earn my chops.  I find myself looking for what new tools I can add to my arsenal vs. planning my next project.  I need to fix that.  Looking forward to more posts from you.

Everybody here had that first tool or that first project and grew from there.  Plenty of excellent talent here willing to help.  It's amazing the various topics this forum covers around so many areas of potential interest.  Many here over 10 years and still active.  And many from various parts of the world bringing culture, ideas, practices and skills that might intimidate at first, but certainly can help us all grow.
