Good morning! My name is Brandon and I'm based in Northwest Arkansas.  I grew up around woodworking because my Grandfather had a very successful cabinet shop just south of Kansas City. I'd spend summers sweeping the floors while watching wood turn into functional beauty. Fast forward a few decades to 2016 and my wife and I moved to our current home with a 3-car garage.  I started to get back into woodworking as a hobby in that 3rd car garage bay and started with modest tools.  Over the last 8-years, I've consumed as much as I could on YouTube and I'm lucky enough that my Grandfather is still alive and has moved down here to NW AR and lives with my parents so I get to pick his brain and continue to learn from him.  I've come a long way in those 8-years and I'm even more obsessed with the craft and the art of woodworking.

My hobby has turned into a side hustle.  I've been fortunate enough to build quite a few custom builds for what started with friends and family and has turned into a list of clients.  I now have a list of 13 projects ahead of me which should take me about 6 months to complete.  Every client has paid the 50% deposit and is well aware of how far out I am for project completion.

I've also upgraded almost all of those modest tools that I started with. Obviously, that means I've guzzled the green kool-aid and I've never looked back!  In the last year, I've purchased:
  • DF 500
  • CT MIDI I
  • TSC 55 KEB-F
  • ETS EC 150/5
  • MFT3
  • TID 18 & TPC 18
  • OF 1400 EQ-F

And yes, all of the accessories to go with it.  Tons of Festool, a bunch of stuff off of Etsy, and all of the TSO products.  It's incredible just how much more effective, efficient, and organized I am with these upgrades.

Anyway, I just learned about this site and I'm excited to learn more here and contribute where I can.

Thanks for allowing me to join!

Welcome, excited to see your work.  I also got the bug from watching my grandfather, sadly he passed before I was old enough to be allowed to touch the tools.  Many of those are in my shop now which brings me a little extra joy using them. Spend every moment you can learning from him!

Welcome - I live in Bentonville.  Great area and a few good sources for wood and tools that are not too far away!
