New MIDI I and CT-VA

It appears that these two items aren’t officially compatible.  Is there a way to customize a short section of hose for the two to connect?

I have a CT-36, but I am thinking about adding another extractor to my shop setup and want to go smaller, but I also want it to work with the CT-VA.

Thoughts anyone?

Wow.  Over 130 views and no responses...  I guess no one has really played with the new CT MIDI I yet?  Or tried to use it with the CT-VA?

[member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] - That's good news.  My concern was with the hose fitting.  I have not seen a new MIDI in-person yet.  I can't tell how the vac connects to the suction hose, but it appears to do so within the hose garage???.  I guess that the hose that comes with the CT-VA is long enough to connect into the MIDI I.

Festool should update it's website, because it is misleading...  If you go to the page for the CT-VA, it states in one bullet, "For combining with all Festool CT 26/36/48 dust extractors with and without Autoclean function."  The MIDI is not mentioned.  On the very next bullet line, it states, "approved for all HEPA Dust Extractors."

[member=9489]ADKMedic[/member], yes, the hose connects inside the hose garage. The Cyclone will reach the port. I can't tell if this is part of your question, but I don't think you could still store the hose in the hose garage with the Cyclone connected.

Maybe asked and answered?  ;)

Have a look here,https://www.festoolownersgroup.com/festool-tools-accessories/festool-ctl-midi-i-(bt)-ct-va-20-the-correct-hose-adapter-(you-will-need-it)/msg574067/#msg574067

Some rumours its not supported because of the weight, might tip over? Not a clue. Anyway, you need to change the adapter, then it works.

FWIW, de CT 26 is supported. But its the same machine (engine wise) as the MIDI I think (only a bigger basket). But because you use the CT-VA, I can't  imagine it really matters.

I did a search prior to my original post...  Clearly I didn’t search far enough!  LOL.

[member=48572]Shane Holland[/member] thank you!  Great video!

Question:  have they changed the contents of the packaging for the CT-VA??  Mine did not come with the extra connector or the black side straps that are shown with the video.

You need to order it separate, well at least here (EU), not sure about the US of A.

This is the p/n 205239

~23 Euros (plus shipping), so it's basically a 10% price increase (looking at the street prices - not the completely over the top list prices, which they luckily can't enforce in europe) to make that thing reasonably useable in a mobile setting... being impressed is something different.
