Is it just me or do these doors make my truck look short?

I agreed last year to make a pair of doors to replace the ones I made previously and after the customer decided to upgrade to 8' tall entry doors.  I felt a little short when I set the entry but now after building this new set I feel really short.

These are glued up and waiting to get stained and screen put in.  I also found a different system to keep the doors close.  Instead of using spring hinges I have found a light duty residential closer unit that resembles a commercial style.  This will allow me to install standard hinges between the door and the jamb as opposed to the spring hinges that are installed across the door and jamb.

Nice, Chris, but I doubt they're 8 inches tall.  [big grin]

Doug fir.  I thought they were Mahogany looking at those pics.

Ken, they are in fact eight inches tall.  The shot is a closeup with the truck strategically placed in the back ground to make them look taller.   [tongue]

Nice work, Chris.  I'd like to see a picture of the doors after you've installed them.

Nice doors! And they aren't actually that tall at all. New standard European doors are 2315mm and that is (if im correct) 7.6'  [blink]
For the really long people LOL [big grin].

Do you have any pictures of the hanging doors?

Sorry that I have not updated this thread.  I finished and installed this set of doors earlier this summer.  I found a decent stain for pine and dug fur so per the customer's request I stained to match the front doors to match.  The other innovation I came up with on this job was the elimination of those crappy spring hinges.  I found a light duty commercial door closer and was able to use traditional barrel type hinges.  though installing the hinges in extruded aluminum was a pain in the arss do to the thinness of the extrusion.
