I finally came up with a different form of label for the systainer t-locs. My stickers go on the actual catch instead of the standard label area. These were a long time in the making and I have been through several versions. My latest version is printed on a vinyl sticker and then covered with doming resin to make a 3D sticker that is also durable. I have finally created labels for all of my sustainers both festool and tanos with several brands of tools in them.

What do you guys think? I wanted something quick and easy to identify but also different then what others were doing.

Nice labels.  But for readability, blue on green requires too much thinking!  Even the pictures require your brain to work.  They look great, but I went down the path of image-based labels and gave up...

Personally, I use clear tape in a P-touch label maker and make 1" black letter size to stick on the Green latches.  TS-55 in 1" letters across the room is really clear!  Carvex is readable from 20 feet away!

It's the BEST and most visible solution I have come up with for identifying a tool quickly.  The image labels are nice, but I have found that I have to get so close to them that they don't help me to easily find the tool.

YMMV!  Particularly if you have better eyes than me!

Same here, I found myself squinting and trying to make out the image on the label. I switched to different colored T-lok latches. Easy to recognize from 30 ft away. Any Systainer with a black latch is associated with the DF 500. White latches denote routers, yellow latches are 125 mm sanders/paper...

I love this idea. I've been thinking of replacing all my latches with anthricate just to look cooler, but having them color coded per tool type is great... oh money, how you never stay in my wallet...

Here's a shot of some, as I said you can identify them from across the room.

how do you do these

I have a template of the latch shape in a vector art program on my computer. Once I design the latch I can print them and cut them out with my die cut machine.  They are then covered in a resin to make them 3d
