Just started my journey down the Festool road. I just purchased a CT26, TS 55 REQ, parallel guides, and quick. Will be working on replacing some of my old tools. With new Festools.

I've been reading a lot on this site and researched on buying a Tracksaw. Decided on a Festool, no I'm sucked in...lol

Hi!

Welcome to the FOG and thank you for sharing your first purchases with us! You won't be disapointed with the dust extractor and plunge saw they're excellent kit! Enjoy!

If you feel like it, share the projects you're going to tackle with your new equipment :)

And I can almost guarantee those will soon be acompanied by a lot more green stuff ;)

Kind regards,
Oliver

lol its over dood, i started with that too. now i dont question the price ever and just buy the tool before i do the work and let it sit there and add to the collection.

Thanks Oliver. I was attempting to cut a straight edge on a piece of plywood before taking it to the table saw with a circular saw and straight edge. It was worse than when I started. I had enough. Started researching and landed in Festoll. I liked his everything works together.

My first cut was a piece of 1/4" plywood and it turned out straight and splinter free! I'm sold. First project is finishing up small cabinet for my lathe from re-purposed cabinet face frame and scrapes.

Tee, I know, already looking at Domino and some Systainers!

Congrats on the purchases, and welcome to the FOG! Those are great places to start.

I've had my TS55 for over 10 years and love it as much as when I got it.
I slowly built up my Festool kit buying a tool every time I could afford it.
I've never regretted this route

Tee, I can't wait to afford one of those.

Tyler, thanks.

Mavrik, I hope to do the same. I love it with only cutting a small piece of plywood but what a world of difference. I've got the green bug. I just need some green stuff to buy them with!
