New Van........at last

Great van in what i think is the best colour!

I after one myself at the moment and have a couple of questions.

What insulation did you use?
Is the van long wheel base? How does it drive around town if so?

Looking forward to more updates as you go.

Cheers

I'm jealous...  [crying]

Good choice for the woofer, I guess it is not a option WV...

cheers! Good job it's not an option, dread to think what VW would charge!
Sub is under drivers seat..

Now the van is repaired I made a small amount of progress! Van is now fully insulated & lined which should keep the moisture at bay!? False floor is in, this houses a 2.8m & 1.4m rail along with my 4 levels. Hope to start the racking this week  [thumbs up] [attachimg=#]

Sorry for the lack of response!! I lost a bit of interest when some s##t head did this!  [eek][attachthumb=#] thankfully they didn't get in!! Cleared space in the garage so it's now secure!!  [crying]

That is a very aggressive break in attempt.

Professional job! Knew exactly where the lock was! Thankfully it's insulated & double boarded!

There is some absolute scum out there
If I caught one of then at my an I would be afraid as to what I might do to them

Awesome, looks like a really neat job, where did you get the insulation and lining fabric and which type did you use? how much did it set you back?

Like the way you got the new drill in the picture as well, they are great, loads of power! [smile]

Sorry for the lack of posts, just been drowning in work! (not complaining though) Getting the van repaired proved to be a bit of a pain. Sadly VW didnt do a great job of spraying the new door... as you can see. Any way I purchased 15 AZ pull outs from FFX (great price) and made a basic ply frame using the LR32 for the drawer runners. In the work shop this week so hoping to grab a bit of time to move it on.  Really impressed with the quality of the drawers. Don't tell Festool but I actually think they are well priced!

He just 'treated' himself to a new van. Compared to that, of course he thinks they're well priced.

Compared to MY income, however...

Terrible match on the paint. Mine is off road grey and I was worried about matching the metallic paint if it was ever damaged. When I bought it new the dealer said oh that's no problem . Looks like they were talking rubbish

I know exactly what you mean! but they have genuinely done a great job second time around. So it can be done.. Hate having to stamp your feet to get done right though.

Tell me about it, mine had loads of rusty parts on the underside when I bought it new. Had to kick up a fuss to get anything done . In the end they changed the anti roll bar, it looked like it had been under the sea for month's lol
