Hi All
New van (Renault Trafic Sport LWB) arrived just before Xmas and so needed racked out before putting into service.
I researched a lot of posts on here to see what I liked the look of and started putting some ideas together on what worked best for me.
I also started purchasing some systainer storage for non Festool items and I'll continue to do that even for screws, fixings etc in order to complete the fit out.
My business is all domestic and so i need a van for mostly tools to have my workshop mobile but I also need some material storage including sheet goods etc.
The largest items I will transport will be cabinets made in the workshop but that's nothing huge.
Taking all the above into account I decided to raise floor of van to accommodate all the longer and bulkier items, the biggest of which is my "little giant" steps. The raised floor also helps with taking cabinets in and out.
I chose to form the systainer storage up from the floor with enough room to take 12 sheets of 18mm sheet goods or 18 sheets of 12mm. Anything in excess of that would be delivered by the merchant.
Festool tracks, trestles and spirit levels are also infer the floor and I've also formed a full length void capable of storing some loose lengths, my work bench supports etc. At the end of the void at the bulkhead end I have cut a section out for CT midi vac, and sys tool box which can be repositioned if sheet goods are on board but are close to side door for easy access most days.
The systainer racks are 19mm Oak veneer mdf with solid oak edges. I'll give it a couple of months and I'll have purchased enough "T locs" to fill remaining spaces.
On the right hand side I have started to form storage for non tool stuff like screws, adhesives etc and you can see my 4 Stanley deep storage boxes in same style of rack as opposite side.
I managed to form a couple of loose drawers under the floor for loose items.
Sorry the photos are a bit dark but it was late last night when I got to this point.
The floor needs a seal which I'll do this weekend.
Any comments / advice as always will be gratefully received.
Cheers.
Scott
