Not sure why it was changed, but Germany has implemented a new URL for the electronic parts system in case anyone is looking for spare parts. Here's a link to the US version.

I see in the European eKat they have added the Protool and Schneider line to the eKat. Since the eKat is maintained centrally from Germany for the entire world I guess that's why it affects the US also.

EKAT seems to be down.  Are they working on it?

Yes, it does appear to be down. It is administered by our colleagues in Germany. So I don't know the reason for the it being down. Sorry for the inconvenience.
