We close on a new house tomorrow, so I will be giving up my 1/2 of a 1965 two car garage workshop. I am excited. My new space is in the basement of our new to us house. I will have a 10x17 production room and a 10x12 finishing room. I am not sure yet exactly how well it will work out, but it should be good. Some of the production room is taken up by cabinets. Good and bad.

Saturday I plan to use painter’s tape to mark off my production equipment to make sure it fits as I hope it will (36” Sawstop, 8” jointer, two flip carts (miter saw on one, planer and spindle sander on the other), 13” bandsaw, dust collector, and 4x6 work table). I think it will be tight, but hopefully it fits. The finishing room will be simpler as it will have a work table and sanding stuff. Much less space needed.

The questions I have for you guys:
-Best rubber mats to cover the ceramic tile in the production room.  I want something comfy for standing, but something I can also move equipment on if needed.

-Best rubber or plastic mats to cover the parquet floor in the finishing room. I do not expect to have to move equipment here, but want to protect the floors.
