next reception desk (finished)

[member=58857]Crazyraceguy[/member] - Thank you! That jig for the cones is very cool! I had a feeling that your shop might have some cool over the top zillion dollar tool for the straight work and you did not disappoint. Super cool!

Yeah [member=66185]Alanbach[/member] that thing is fantastic. It has done wonders for my workflow, along with the giant gantry crane storage system.
I posted a video of it running a few months ago, but I can't seem to find it right now?

Thanks [member=75217]squall_line[/member] you put me on the right path.
I thought I had posted the one of the beam saw kerfing too, but couldn't  find it during the search?
It's still out there though, I just needed to figure out the link thing again.

For those who have never seen such a thing, those silver dots on the table a ball-bearings that plug air flow ports. When a panel sits on top of them the air floats it, making it nearly weightless. You can literally maneuver a stack of sheets with one hand. It can cut 4 sheets of ply, MDF, or Particleboard at one time.
This way we can cut 48 strips of toe-kick material (3.75" x 96") in one go, un-attended, in a matter of a couple of minutes. Since it also has a scoring blade on the under-side, the parts are all chipout free too.

[member=58857]Crazyraceguy[/member] looking good as usual. Love all the cool time saving work flow systems. I long for a bridge crane but as small as my shop is, I’d hit my head on it all the time.  [eek]

My son got a really nice big Lincoln welder from a retired farmer about 30 miles from home. He told him he was an old guy and couldn’t help load so bring folks. It was out in his shop about 50x100 heated and cooled. He said just back in. By the time I had backed in, he had rolled the bridge crane and had the welder hoisted up in the air and set down on the trailer. Easy peasy.

How is your retirement shop coming?

[member=3192]rvieceli[/member] those big industrial cranes are great for all kinds of material handling, this thing is far more specialized. It moves in a confined space (caged for safety) and keeps inventory as it goes.

My shop has been coming along. I recently brought a bunch of home from work. It was mostly my pile of off-cuts and pallet/crate/barn wood.  It was a thing of convenience though. I didn't need all that stuff in my way, but I'm dealing.
I cut parts for 6 of my Systainer cabinets the other day, so when I can get them assembled and home, things can get more permanent. I should have the floor close to finished Monday, hopefully after that I won't need to keep moving stuff around so much.
