Can someone please provide me with a catalog number or information on the accessory(s) that you need to purchase for the OF 1400 to be able to attach it to the guide rail?

I cannot find this information on the website and the catalog is confusing.

It's called the Guide Rail Stop and the number is 492601.

Dave,

Confusing name but it works well.  Be sure to print out Rick Christopherson's manual for the 1400 available on Festool USA's website.  Rick provides better instructions for using the 1400 and the accessories than Festool does.

Guide Rail Sled would translate better... ;D

It does work well. It may not be totally obvious until you get more aquainted with the set but there is a little "foot" that is used to level the router if one side of the router base is elevated because it is sitting on the guide rail. It also helps in a number of other situations where one edge of the router base in hanging in air.

There are two pieces, each of which can engage the top of the guide rail, that connect to one another with a micro-adjustment. These can be configured in many ways relative to each other, the guide rail, and the router. The plethora of combinations makes this a really versatile set up.

I forgot to mention that the rods come with the router.

FormumMFG'

I just purchased the guide rail set up and edge guide from microfence for my of 1400.  It hasn't arrived yet to check it out but I may be selling my festool egde guide and guide rail stop as shown in the picture.  Microfence is a lot more expensive but is supposed to be a lot more precise.  Mine should arrive in a day or two here.  I'd like to check it out before I sell my festool one.  If your interested let me know maybe we can work something out.
