Hi all, new to FOG.

Can anyone help me identify bushings/stop collars that fit on the guide rods for the OF1400 Router.  I'm trying to use the router for dados with the guiderails and guidestops (pads).  A few comments have been to use collets for drill bits or the adjuster for the MFK-700.  What is anyone using?

Garry - thanks for the reply.

Being new to this, I may have some of the names of things incorrect.

I'm looking to put some "stops" on the guide rods, not the rails, to control where the bit can be set East/West of the rail if it is running North/South in order to use the technique here (http://www.talkfestool.com/vb/festool-tips-techniques/5655-using-new-dado-technique-new-me.html) and here (http://www.halfinchshy.com/2011/06/bridge-city-km-1-kerfmaker-users-guide.html).

Any thoughts?

I see what you're trying to do now.

The OF 1400 guide rods are 8mm in diameter, so an 8mm drill stop would work as suggested by Paul-Marcel. I guess you might be able to use a small Jubilee/Hose clip or something like that too.

The other alternative would be to replace the standard rods with threaded ones and use locknuts or a couple of nuts tightened against each other.

I believe the MFK 700 part that Paul-Marcel is using is the Fine Adjuster. If it is, it's available as a spare part with P/N 495371 if you wanted to give that a go.

Are the guide rods used for the OF 1010 REQ the same diameter? If not what diameter are they?

Yes, guide rods on the OF 1010 are also 8mm diameter.

The OF 2200 has 10mm diameter guide rods. The OF 1400, OF 1010 and MFK700 are all 8mm diameter.

Awesome, thank you for confirming that. Found a couple styles of stop collars from McMaster-Carr Im going to try. Just wanted to make sure I could use them on both the OF 1010 and the OF 1400 guides.
