I'm in the middle of doing something similar. I'm making a copy of the festool plexiglass jig.

I've just looked at that would have done the same job for me .

Another jig on the list to do

Nice work there.
I'd be interested to see what you guys come up with for the  plexiglass jig as that is something on my to do list.

Here's a couple of pics of what I've come up with so far. 10mm polycarbonate for the base ,30mm hole for alignment 3 countersunk holes for fixing the router. I've used some 18mm MR MDF for the fences for now with m6 Bristol levers, I might upgrade these to thicker plastic fences ,just have to see how they go. All that's left to do is find a way to attach the vac hose. Thinking of drilling a hole behind the router and gluing on a tube to push the hose into, similar to the festool version.

I decided to make this as I had some 36mm thick floating shelves to fit the other week and I slotted the edges to slide over fixings so it was all hidden. Just using one side fence was a real pain so thought to myself I need a better way in future. Can also use my of1010 with a 30mm guide bush with this.

It will be handy for work on doors too for locks and intumescent strips etc etc

Joiner .Thats a neat job. As I said that would of done the same job for me I've 4 of the M8 knobs that I used above left over. Think I will make one of these too

I'm not sure if it's just me (the fact I'm not using my tools everyday now)

But I struggle with the festool routers if I'm routing a groove or similar along a long edge. It always seems to want to pull away from the edge no matter which way push (or pull) the router

That's good work Joiner. Let us know how it performs for you and whether you need to make any changes. Certainly looks the biz.
I don't don't do a lot of trenching but on the odd ocasision I do, I also find it's too easy to wander off, so this would be ideal for me, the Festool trenching accessory is $300 down here and even if I could aford it, I certainly coudn't justify paying that much for a bit of polycarbonit I'm not going to use that often.

I've pinched the plumbing fitting I had fitted on my router table fence and will be fitting it to this jig as soon as I get a new holesaw set. The 27mm hose plugs in tightly to it

Fitted the hose connection at last, had to wait for my new holesaw set to come. Used a plumbing fitting off my router table which fits through and the nut holds it in place. I also used a small router to rebate the base side of the hole so everything is flush underneath. The 27mm hose end fits in perfectly snug. I just run a 12mm slot 10mm deep in an old offcut of chipboard worktop and the dust collection was perfect.

What plumbing fitting was that you used fella? Be good to know what a 27mm hose drops straight into for future reference.

I could take a Festy hose into a plumber's merchants but it would bring two expensive worlds together and it might end the Universe.

Just check the size not sure if it was 40mm or 32mm
Edit to be honest it must have been 32mm which would have a 35mm hole , a perfect fit for the hose
