OF 2200 / SA-OF 2200 question

Now that I have a OF 2200 router I was looking at the edge guide SA-OF 2200.

The listing for the SA-OF 2200 says  "Attaches quickly and easily using integrated thumbscrews and two steel rods included in the router's scope of delivery".

However the listing for the OF 2200 makes no mention of the rods, which my router did not come with regardless.

So, i'm slightly confused.

Strangly the rods are no part of the OF 2200 nor the edge guide.
And have to be ordered separately, ST-OF 2200/2 (#495247).
Therefore you get two of them, typical Festool!

Get the whole accessory kit as it maximizes the uses of the OF2200. You won't be disappointed with the quality of the bases and all of them are useful.

The rods are not included. I believe they used to be, and the copy was not updated. We'll get the website updated to reflect this. Thanks for catching it for us.

True (I assume you meant to say "without"), but then by the same logic, the rods should be included with the edge guide, right? (It doesn't appear they are.)

You could also purchase the edge guide from micro fence and just purchase the adapter for the OF2200, 1400, or 1010 (or any brand). I have all three, and have the same precision fence. It is a super nice system.

And you will find the bases to be very useful especially if you plan to do dados or other routing using the rail guide. The guide and stepped base (to support the part of the router that overhangs the rail) are $140 and you still would need the rods. Add the edge guide and you are well over half way to the kit.
