OF1400 handles discussion.

I have the OF2200. In addition I have an OF1400EQ and am very disappointed it the handles, can't get used to the 1 pistol grip handle and the straight handle. So, I don't use it much. I understand the older model 1014 has two "pistool grip" handles. I'm interested in a trade, swap for the older version. My of1400 has barley used.

The OF1010 does not come with two pistol grip handles, but has the same handles as the OF1400.

You'd best sell your OF1400 here in the classifieds or craigslist or whatever, and buy a router with handles you like. Get some money back.

I've looked through historical parts diagrams and older models and I can't find any Festool router with two pistol-grip handles.

The only recent-ish models with double handles are the OF 2000 and the OF 2200, neither of which have pistol grips.

Are you sure you're looking for an older OF1400?

At the time I bought it, I had the option of choosing the 2 handled "pistol grip" handles

1 - What is this fabled "2 handled "pistol grip" handles" router?

I don't think anything has changed in the last 18 months.  As far as I know, history has remained the same.

I don't have a problem with resurecting an old post.  The repost "for Trade"  will be in the Classifieds.  I discovered this topic when sorting that out. I merged current replies into this one.

I too, am curious as to whether or not this router with other handle style existed. I don't recall ever seeing it. If so it must be a very much older design / router.

The OF1000 (now OF1010) , I believe was originally from Mafell? And I have not seen that with any other handle style.

Pretty sure the OF1400 was a new design straight from Festool, and there was never any other handle style.

The OF2000 was originally from Elu (?, I think) with the two side (pistol grip) handles.

The 2000 was replaced by the OF2200 with two side handles.

        As far as I know there was no other version of the mid size OF1400 router.
