OF1400 - Very simple question

Hey all, I've been using my Bosch 1617 for routing with template guide bushings, and the 5/8" one blew up...looks like the two pieces which were soldered together came apart.  I am going to use my 1400 but it takes the traditional guide bushings.  I see that there is a different adapter for them...do I need to buy another part of will they work on my existing insert?  I'd just try it but the bushings are on order so I don't have them to try.

Any insight greatly appreciated!

Just take one of your non-destroyed bushings and try it in the adapter for the OF 1400.  You didn't specify the diameter of the threaded part of the bushings you ordered, so I can't opine as to whether they'll fit properly.  [smile]

The Bosch takes a weird, proprietary one so I can't try it out...

Your OF 1400 kit should've come with the adapter that works with Porter Cable style guide bushings. The Bosch guides are proprietary and won't work with the OF 1400. The Bosch equivalent to the Festool adapter is lower left.

Thanks!  That's the answer I was looking for!  Didn't think about the Bosch adapter...
