Okay, who's going to be the first....

Can anyone top this?  My wife was pulling into the parking lot where she works, intercepts the UPS driver, and gets him to put the new RO90 in the trunk.  I sure hope it gets home.

I fell bad for the poor guy that isn't going to get his new RO90 he was expecting UPS to deliver today... [tongue]

Okay, it is 3:00, I am home and the RO90 is here. Who else left work early (under what was essentially a lie) to come home and play with their Festool?

Edit and update: Oh boy, it is a lot of fun. I spent more time with either the aggressive mode and the delta pad. I have been missing all this for a long long time.

That's a fancy sander to have a big open spot in the case to dump your various sandpaper.  Seems it would made a lot of sense to have a nice divided little system in there for the different grits and sizes.

Like my RS400 - no where in the case can you really put the sandpaper in without it getting crushed edges...

There's spaces for the paper. From Wood Nerd's review you can see them better.

I've always had problems with the paper organizer although I don't really know how it could be solved.

While im hastily trying to finish my work I rifle through the paper, find my grit and go to pull it out and out comes all of it!
Then when I try to get it back in, it kind of sticks to itself and gets all velcroed together.
Now it's not the original shape and won't fit back into the slots.

Both my 90 and 150 systainers look like a tornado hit them by the time I'm done the job. Then more time re-arranging them to look nice and neat until the next job/day where it all happens all over again.    [tongue]

Hummmm I really am wondering about Brice!!  [scratch chin]
Did you all notice his pristine MFTs in the pics earlier in this thread? No dust, no kerfs, no dents, no blemishes. Get the feeling that this is his personal tool showroom!

Just made the move to Festool this January. It all started with a RO 125 and CT 26...my Festools quickly multiplied. I then purchased a TS 55 with two 55" rails and an OF 1010. I was back a week later for a RTS 400 (btw great sander, I think often underapreciated!) and a compact cleaning set. I just recieved my latest purchase in the mail a closeout C12 set with all the extras. I have been completely satisfied with Festool. I get aproached daily on the jobsite and asked about my strange looking tools. The only purchase I did not end up seeing the benifit in was the OF 1010 I took back to my dealer here in Columbia, SC: Mann Tool and Supply and they swapped it out for a Bosch JS470EB Jigsaw and Bosch 1617EVS router plus $20 back! I think I made the right choice on that one! I am completely hooked on Festool and am afraid a Kapex and Domino may be in my not too distant future.

I might also add that I may be one of the younger Festool users around at just 21...I am truly blessed by the lord to have the opportunities I have had at such a young age to be able to even consider owning such fine tools.

I look forward to discussing the ins and outs of the mean green tools with my new FOG friends!

RB -

Welcome to the FOG.  Those tools will last you for a LONG time.  Smart to buy right when just getting started.

Please share some of your work when you have time.

Peter, did see Alex's post, it's my own personal Festool warehouse.  You're right, no cuts in my top yet and I've had it since June August last year.  I've been using scrap 1/4" MDF to make my cuts.  There are dents, blemishes and dust though.

It's even worse than that.  Due to work schedule, I won't even get a chance to try it out until next Monday. [crying]

I was ready to get one.  And then decided not to.  What am I going to do with it?  I hardly ever even use my RO150..... [eek]

I am waiting for the Carvex... [big grin]

Me too, only three more month until the Carvex ships> When the shed was broken into and my old jigsaw was stolen I did not replace it. So i'm with out a jigsaw right now. So it is going to be a long 90 days.

Well, the li’l guy arrived last night.  I pre-ordered some Granat in both shapes, so I can get working immediately on the project I really had in mind when I bought it (refinishing my kids’ outdoor playhouse siding).

I also got the hard pad.  Yay.  And more abrasives en route soon.

Anyone notice something funny about this this?
