Oneida Dust Cobra?

Also used a auto switch with both the shopvac system, and the cobra so it's tool activated which is really handy.

Auto switch is a good idea. I'll see if it's possible to wire my 3-phase vacuum pump to it, so the Cobra tuns on simultaneously with the pump with one press of a button.

I have placed an order for Dust Cobra through Oneida. I picked up a bigger drum (35 gallon) and a dolly as 2 upgrades to regular system. I do not see much value in "fill-up sensor" or other accessories. (Their original hose is probably descent but is not transparent so I have ordered 50' of heavy duty 2 1/2" from peachtreeusa through Amazon for $70. If I do not like it I'll return it and get an Oneida one later).

All in all Dust Cobra with bigger drum and dolly totaled just under 1K. They gave me a free shipping promotion ($134) which sealed the deal.

In my recent research with Oneida, I found that, at least in the case of the Mini Dust Gorilla, length of the hose was an important factor. I was informed that the Mini Gorilla was rated and made to work with the 10'  -  5" hose included. Increasing that length would reduce the CFM rating and the result wouldn't be as effective. I think it might be true that a similar scenario exists with the Cobra. I would at least check with Oneida on whether hose length would reduce air movement and, hence, the effectiveness of the collector for a particular use. I ended up with a V1500 system but I am using it exclusively in my workshop. The reason I didn't go with the Mini Gorilla was partly that it likely would not match my current Oneida 20-year old collector (high noise and non-HEPA) given I have ducting already in place. So, length of hose could be a factor if you exceed the included 25'.
