I have a bunch of heavily textured drywall that I am going to sand the texture off. I have a CT 36 with a dust deputy mounted on top. Any ideas how this setup compares to the Festool vacs with auto clean. I plan to buy the new Planex to do the sanding.

Thanks

Bill

Your Dust Deputy will do just fine. I have sanded a lot of plaster and drywall with my Midi and a cyclone.

Bags tend to clog quickly with drywall dust, like, you lose suction when the bag's only 1/4 full. When I use my cyclone the bag takes about 5 times longer before it clogs, which I think is acceptable.

Texture will be heavily covered in a paint. Won't be plugging bags nor filters as much as straight drywall. Often I rip bathroom walls with an ETS EC 150 using 36 grit or higher as needed. Planex works too for larger areas.
