parrallel guide that clamps the the TS55 question

Finally got my TS55, the CT-22 is still on back order but I cant wait, been making sawdust all day and even with a mask, got one heck of a runny nose now. If I give you guys the Woodcraft store # can you put a rush on their back order for me  [big grin]

Whats the max width cut that I can make with one of these?  Wondering if this makes a decent low cost alternative to the parrallel guides that attach to the guide rails.  I've burned a hole in my Credit card getting the TS55 combo and need to let it cool down a few months before firing it up again.

I can't help you with your backorder, but I can supply data on the other.

The parallel edge guide allows you to cut  11 13/16 inches if mounted one way, 3 3/4 inches if mounted the opposite way.

Do a search for "shop made parallel guides" on this site and you'll find some decent alternatives.  I found this one to be not only cheap, but incredibly effective

It's not as elegant as some of the custom-made ones you will find during your search, but as I said, it's effective.
