Planex LHS 225 vs Easy

I'm trying to decide between the two Planexs and was hoping I could compare them at the Roadshow, but alas they only brought the Easy.  I was supervised at how heavy the Easy was.  I don't think I'd like to be using that on a ceiling all day.  The Festool rep said the LHS 225 had an extra vacuum ability to hold it to the ceiling.  Looking at the pictures though, I don't see any differences on the heads that would point to this.

Can anyone confirm that there is a difference and if so, is it significant?

As they both take the same pad, and the same sand paper, the amount of suction/grip to the ceiling will be about the same. Both will stick to the ceiling not really requiring much lift from the user.

When I decided to purchase a Planex I looked carefully at their features and spent the extra money for the LHS225. Reason being is the fact it can get very short for working in confined spaces, and at the same time can accept an extension for doing higher ceilings. Along with use of the harness for doing ceilings. For the average 8ft ceilings the Easy will be all one needs. The Easy won't fit in a Maxi-Systainer, but the harness and Planex LHS225 do reside in a Maxi-Systainer, which some would consider a benefit. The Easy goes into a bag.

I really like how short my 225 gets and I hate not having boxes for stuff.

I’m surprised that you think it’s heavy. I find I turn the suction down because it sucks so well on the CT36, even with a cyclone.
