Pliers set upcoming

Years ago before T-lock I made a pair of small drawer cabinets that stack into a classic Sys 4. The program for sorting is whatever fits the drawer height. That resulted in little cabinets that are heavy for the size. At least 30 pounds for the loaded Sys 4. Drawer heights are 1/2”, 5/8”, 7/8”, and 1-1/4”. The blue pliers fit in a 5/8” tall drawer.

How do you get them out? I was expecting a handle in the middle of the top. I like the idea.
Pull those out and set them on top of a Sys4, they would probably be at a decent height to work from, on a job site.

I did a less detailed thing than Michael.  I made kaizen foam inserts to fit into the sustainers roughly and then cut out profiles in each to fit different tools.  So I had one for chisels, one for pliers, one for measuring and squaring devises, etc.  Then I would stack those on top of each other.  Lug those to where I was working and unpack, or left unneeded ones in the truck.

[member=58857]Crazyraceguy[/member]  the cabinets are a close fit to the front and back of the Systainer so the width is reduced to fit within the Sys’s inside corner posts. That leaves just enough room for my fingers to slide down and engage the recesses in the sides of the cabinet. The recess is just several biscuit joiner kerfs stacked.

I had a tongue and groove cutter in the router table one day with some extra time and some nice pine scraps. The thin sheet stock is “tile board” which is double tempered Masonite with a melamine coating on one side.
