I've got a 1010 and would like to use it with my Leigh D4R Pro Jig, however the power requirement for the best cut is 1 1/2 to 2 hp.  Will this router do the job?

Ask them what the metric requirement is...

Google says one hp is 746W

The 1010 is ... 1010W

Funny thing btw; 1010's were listed or sold with 22.000, 23.000 and 24.000 rpm

Type plate of mine was 23.000 while the old catalog said 22.000 and the newer catalogs say 24.000

Never compared if they really differ though.

Absolutely a great combination - Works just fine.
FOG member Peter Parfitt has a number of great videos on the OF 1010 -
And says the D4R and the OF 1010 are his preferred combination.
And... If Peter says it - You can “take it to the bank”.  [smile]

While I personally prefer to use a fixed base router with my D4, I have used my OF1010 with zero issue with my 8mm Leigh cutters. It has plenty of power for almost any bit that's normal to use with a 1/4" or 8mm shank including dovetail cutters.
