only just found out about them and they have a cordless framing gun.

BUT, it looks like it is metal all over, purely interested, as if it is, it would be chuffin heavy.

it also is part of the CAS, so you can run your *ahem* mafell and metabo tools on the same batts

It doesn't look that "metally"

Depending on the source, it either weighs 4.4, or 4.9 kg without the battery. (the prebena shoplink says 4.9, one of the videos  I watched to see what the hybrid stuff is about said 4.4.

Their previous cordless system worked with highpressure cannisters and a special compressor to fill them. I don't know if it's the same type cannister that is used with this hybrid version, and how after how many shots you have to refill the gun.

Interesting.
Charging  it  from an  external  tank  seems  to be  a  new  concept.

The  battery  only  technology of  the Hikoki NR1890 DC  and  the  Milwaukee  M18 FFN  seem  to  charge  the  air  internally.
Senco  seems  to  have  jumped  on  to  this  band wagon  also  with  the  Fusion F-35XP.

However  what  all these  3  nailers  have  in common  is  they  weigh  in at  around  5kg.
I think  my  gas/battery  Senco  is  around  3kg.

battery only nailers are heavier, but i prefer them to the paslode guns.  less smell and no gas to purchase

I went battery only about 2008 on 2nd fix (DW), went to 2nd gen DW cordless about 2015 (1st fix and 2nd fix) and more recently to Hikoki cordless in 2020 (1st fix, 15ga, 16ga and 18ga). They are heavy against a Paslode gun, but you do get used to it. They don't suffer from "coking up", blackened battery contacts, failed igniter units, failed fans, bad gas, running out of gas half way through a job when you are 10 miles from the nearest stockist and/or they are closed - and the nails are cheaper (gas is expensive). I find the Prebena concept interesting, but their gas puts you in the same position as you in when running out of gas with a Paslode and unable to get a replacement. Do they do or will they be doing 2nd fix guns?
