Has anyone considered adding some vibratory function to their CT22 to minimize vacuum loss? Any ideas on how? I have an old B&D palm sander that could be dedicated to this. I was thinking about a clear plastic tube with a ball bearing to monitor vacuum loss.

I'm going to presume from the response that nobody with last generation CT's care that the new ones knock the dust off the inside to keep vacuum from reducing as the bag fills?

the new CT26 does not knock it off from a mechanical standpoint. Certain type of bags collapses and to do that...  to a point

All joking aside the CT22 have amazing power. When doing something like sheet rock sanding I turn it off and just lift it from the back and bounce it a bit or open it and tap the bag and it is good to go. I listen for the sound of the extractor motor and by taking the hose off the tool and putting your hand over the hose opening... you lean to know when you have issue.

Most of the time the shaking is done when I move it from here to there...so... not a real issue... on site. Maybe if you live in a shop and never move it.

With a planer I have totally filled the bag and the hose and had the chips coming out of the planer with no reduction in power.

Don't know I need a built in shaker.

Cheers,

Hmmmmm, interesting.

I was rapping the side of mine today after some sanding , before going to the router.  The thing is that the vibration really needs to either be enough to really jolt the vac or vibrate the bag directly.  Since the dust that needs  loosening is on the inside of the bag.
