Rick, it is not B.S. I have purchased Festool tools in the USA while on vacation several times.Rick Christopherson said:Claiming that you need to know U.S. prices so you can buy over here on your vacation is B.S. and you all know it. Your desire for information is curiosity only, and has no bearing on sales.

I regard Festool USA as being rather silly and naive if they really think that stopping me from seeing the prices on their web site is going to stop me for finding out what the US price is any more than about a minute. All this restriction does is make me a little annoyed.

Frank, I don't think they are trying to stop you from seeing the pricing completely, only not the Festool USA site. As I've said on here a number of times now I believe it's to help prevent confusion between American and Canadian users. After all they say see dealer for pricing and then they have links to Festool dealers so I can't believe they are trying to hide anything.

Brice, Canadians have had a lifetime of being inundated with stuff from the USA. Any Canadian reading prices from a USA web site knows fullwell that the prices are in US dollars and that, usually, the item will cost more in Canada.
