Very nice Matt.

I have some curls of walnut off the jointer that I can mail you. You can throw them around on the floor. 😜😜😜

[member=3192]rvieceli[/member] hahahaha thanks man

[member=163]vkumar[/member] thanks!!

[member=72337]notenoughcash[/member] ah thanks so much man!! haha yeah. there is dust... I mean I do have some "tricks of the trade"

- Get a roomba. seriously. I have one and it is awesome for sawdust. having the floor expoxy coated like min helps a lot with pickup.
- Air purifier (I have the Jet) for the small stuff
- Vacuum tools and workbenches after use
- Then periodically, run the roomba, turn air purifier on "MAX" and compressed-air blow stuff around your shop. The stuff that settles on the floor will be picked up by the roomba and the stuff that is in the air will be picked up by the purifier.

I also change filters on everything between every project. (OK not the big dust collector but like, I change out the bag on the CTs and such). It's expensive and I do it prematurely but I find the suction is better with a fresh bag.

[member=935]richard[/member]/BMW hahahahaha close one on that one man. Almost got it on the workbench!!

Well team.... we're in the home stretch here.

I still have to:

1) Drawer fronts for the nightstand drawers
2) 3 drawers for the footboard.

And then she is done!!

Matt

Well team. The bed is now 100% complete.

Since I last posted here, I finished up the drawer fronts for the night stands and built 3 drawers for the footboard and made those drawer fronts as well. The night stand ones are interesting - the wife wanted a clean look without hardware but also no hole. So I did chamfer on the underside of the drawer front and made the bottom of the nightstand box 1" less deep if that makes any sense. Looks clean.

The footboard drawers got a semi-circle at the top.

This has been SUCH a fun build. I wanted to thank everyone for hanging in with me. Been so much fun talking to all of you.

If you made it this far, here's something fun. There is a secret compartment somewhere in this bed build that I have not shown yet. The first person who guesses the location of the compartment (I'll post pictures in a few days) I will mail 2x of Rob's new Aluminum Track Stars free of charge:https://dashboardpws.com/products/universal-track-star

Thanks for looking team :)

Matt

Very nice indeed Matt. It won’t be a  secret drawer if you let everyone on the internet know.

[tongue]

Ron

[member=66813]rmhinden[/member] Thanks Bob!

[member=3192]rvieceli[/member] thanks so much Ron! Hahaha I know. But it was a lot of work and I want to show *someone* :)

[member=4105]tjbnwi[/member] thank you very much Tom!

OK so we had a few guesses for the secret drawer, in the form of personal messages, in this order:

[member=70011]edwarmr[/member] , [member=30413]mike_aa[/member] , [member=66966]jonnyrocket[/member]

[member=70011]edwarmr[/member] was first and got it right actually so today I'm mailing him the 2 brackets!

Here's a picture - these slides are Accuride 400 pound rated slides. They are 3" wide and .75" thick on either side.
