There is a thread about this hidden on the forum about the rumor of protool being absorbed by Festool, but i "think" i discovered something that may be worthy of a new thread.
In this video you can see a presentation of festool, but several of the short images show tools in Festool colors that are not in the current line to my knowing.

I made an image with screenshots where you can see what appear to be Protools in festool colors:

[attachimg=#]

Above left you can see a CHP45 rotary hammer
Below that one of the PDC 12 or 18 Volt cordless impact drills
In the center one of the rotary hammer drills
In the center right what appears to be a DRP20 drill
Below that a chain mortiser i cannot identify
And above right the CSP85 circular saw

edit forgot the drywall screw gun:

Looks like proof to me.

Why would they 'recolour' protool tools, just for a video? Can't see it myself.

I had heard a rumour there was going to be something big happening with Festool this year, I think this must be it.

No surprise they tried to take the video down ... Cat - Bag - Out !

What do you think Profess or Festpro?  Or maybe they can come up with something easier on the ears...

Tim, thanks for sharing and nice job on the screenshot-collage

What is the item at 27- 28 Seconds? Reel type whatever.

I was wondering too, and my guess it's a tool balancer like the ones from fein.
Haven't seen one of those in action, but I think they are meant for production environments so the operator has less strain from the weight of a tool.

I wonder what Rick Christopherson thoughts on this would be....

Ha, we finally got the better of Rick, of course, he's still way ahead on the scoreboard.

Im surprised the thread hasn't been locked and erased! Apparently that video was put up by Festool USA (?) by mistake and taken down immediately.
And to think i only found it because i saw on my Youtube page that Festool-USA liked the same video uploaded by a company, so i watched it and straight away saw these short bursts of images of tools that i didn't recognize!

When I watched that video I picked on this exact detail, but I assumed it was just NAINA stuff I hadn't run across yet. Heck, what do I know...I will say though that heavy duty drill gives it away.

I'd be surprised if this thread gets locked let alone deleted.  The video in question isn't reveling top secret info.  It just wasn't meant to be released yet.  Besides, we all had a good idea this was going to happen anyhow.

This explains why they made the midi systainer exclusively in Festool colors, while it was made for Protool stuff.
And why webshops are getting rid of Protool stock, so lots of people must be aware which explains the rumors.

I will say though, I have yet to find a tool from Protools current line that I am drooling over.
